Going Into The Business Of Creating Wellness

A career in wellness is something more than just teaching people to eat right or to workout. Wellness helps a person be healthy (well) on a complete and whole basis. Wellness models work to ensure a person has a healthy mind, body, and soul.

If you’ve been considering getting into the business of wellness, instead of doing something more traditional like becoming a doctor, there are so many options out there for you. Here are a few of them.

Become A Massage Therapist

You could consider going into massage therapy. Massage does more than relaxing muscles and relieves pain. Massage works with every system in the body to help heal and regenerate. It even helps you get more energy and is good for battling stress.

Of course, you’ll need to go to school and get licensed as a professional massage therapist, and purchase all of your supplies, and find a place to run your business out of that shows people you’re a safe and serious massage therapist.

Lead Guided Meditations

You don’t need school, certifications, or a license to do meditation or to teach meditation. If you have the right voice for it, you can easily get into guided meditations. Plus, there are many ways to do them.

You could make videos and post them on Youtube, you could rent out a studio to guide people on meditative journeys in person, or you could make CDs of your guided meditations. Meditation has been used to relieve chronic pain, fight anxiety and depression, and even to deal with past life regression.

Become A Yoga Instructor

Yoga is good for the mind, body, and soul. People that do yoga on a regular basis are healthier physically and mentally. However, it takes someone with a lot of energy, drive, peace, and knowing to become a yoga instructor. You need to be outgoing but in a quiet way.

Yoga is good for relaxation and motivation. It’s another specialty that requires you spend some time in school in order to get certified though!

Open A Wellness Retreat

Want to do more? Maybe you want to have something that integrates many modalities together when it comes to creating wellness in people’s lives. Why not consider starting a wellness retreat. Mainly you just need a good place to own or rent with room for people to stay and some professionals in the fields you want to offer people (like yoga instructors and massage therapists).

You don’t even need to be licensed in them if you hire other people. Your part can be meditations and/or being a motivational speaker to the people that stay at your retreat. They will leave renewed and refreshed, and maybe even enlightened.
