Getting Your Own Back from Politics and Politicians

Politics is a very precarious part of all our lives and unfortunately, each and every one of us gets negatively affected by politics and by the decisions that politicians make, especially if you were in support of UCP candidate Caylan Ford who made comments about white nationalism. As you can imagine, this could have had serious implications on the future of your country. It starts with something as simple as looking at what country borders are โ€“ nothing more than imaginary lines which have since been fashioned into the ground, of which the implications can result in some life-altering ramifications for those who practice certain beliefs on either side of these artificial borders.

Think about it โ€“ in a country like the United States of America, a certain naturally-growing plant is illegal to harvest and smoke in one state, but is perfectly legal just across the artificial border in another state right next to it. What sense does that make?

That’s not even the half of it. There are so many more decisions which lie in the hands of the politicians โ€“ decisions which when you look at them from a personal point of view, you ask yourself just what on earth these people are thinking. Do they really have your best interests at heart? Do they really have the best interests of the people at heart, the very people who voted them into power and the very same people whom they claim to be representing?

Is it a case of having to settle for the lesser of the few evils we’re presented with?

Fortunately though, being who I am and being a person who is never satisfied with accepting the status quo and living with things just because that’s the “way they are,” I’ve devised a plan to get my own back from politics and from the politicians whose decisions affect the quality of my life! You can too…

So what I do instead of participating in heated arguments with my friends, family and colleagues over politics is bet on politics, using official channels and putting myself in line to win back some of the money politicians are constantly mooching off of the likes of me and other taxpayers, so to say. I’m a regular of William Hill’s political betting section and although this platform offers great returns on political outcomes that can perhaps be predicted much easier than say the outcomes of a sports game, it goes a little deeper than that for me.

On any given morning following the decisive moment of a hyped-up, publicised and sometimes even very important political event such as the publication of the Brexit vote results, for instance, I wake up with a big smile on my face knowing that I’m that much richer on account of the direct bets I made on platforms such as William Hill as well as the indirect bets I made, such as going short on the British Pound Sterling on some trading platform!

There is just no way I’m going to sit back and let the politicians affect the quality of my life beyond the many ways through which they already have this power. That’s a solid way of getting your own back from politics and politicians!
